A sad moment, indeed

18 August 2010 | Uncategorized

Our pantry is one spot in our house with no air vent and I am very sad to report that apparently it was so hot yesterday that my Keebler Fudge Stripe cookies melted and stuck together.  (not that it will stop me from eating them, but still ….)

PS.  and yes, those of you who are Facebook friends with me might notice I just posted this as my status update … all that proves is a)  I am a multi-tasker, b) I have nothing noteworthy to blog about today, and c) I am really, truly sad about the cookies.  It was almost a full package!!

Pop them in the freezer now to harden the chocolate and maybe partially separate them. But you’re right, a little melting is not going to stop them from being eaten!

I would be on the phone to a heating and cooling firm to get this corrected asap!!! Where is the justice in the world that a contractor would build a pantry that would allow your cookies to melt!!!!! I am sure one of those hgtv shows may help you! This was really funny. It cracked me up big time and I am enjoying giving you a hard time! It is a relief to see that you can poke fun at yourself with all the stress that you deal with during Blaine’s medical ordeal. Maybe you should just move the cookies to the fridge. Then they would be right beside the diet dr p and all would be right in the world.

Hmmm, I’d throw the whole thing in a bowl, microwave it until it’s melted and eat it with a fork!!

Oh and a glass of milk. ‘Cause we all need our vitamins. :)

    Enjoy!

Freeze the cookies and they should be (almost) good as new. A fudge stripe is a terrible thing to waste.

SO? Did you freeze them? Eat them straight?

I had this happen 2 weeks ago on one of our 110 degree days to a bag of chocolate chips – what a waste :(
