Alive

28 April 2010 | Misc

I am here.  I have not forgotten the blog.  In between soccer and baseball seasons, I am simply (happily) drowning in sports photography.  I’ve set up a new website for that.  I am editing until the wee hours of the morning.  And a sidebar to that is I am (unhappily) neglecting my writing here, due to the fact there are only 24 hours in a day and I use several of them doing inconsequential things like eating.  And sleeping.  And although I’ve been known to edit photos with a Sonic cup in one hand and a granola bar in the other, I have not yet figured out how to edit them while asleep.  Although I have been dreaming about taking photos and editing photos, which I’m not sure what that says about me.  Either I am very dedicated, or very neurotic.

All this coincides with the fact not a whole lot is happening around here, anyway.  At least nothing noteworthy or humorous or interesting enough to blog about.  Test monitoring and field trips and school activities and what have you.  Same as what is happening at public schools across the land, this time of year.

And that’s ok.

Sometimes we all need a new challenge, even if we haven’t quite mastered the time management of it yet.

    Would love to see your photography website!! Post the link please!

    Good to hear you are having fun and enjoying your work. That’s something we all strive for and most don’t ever achieve that. :)

    Kristie;

    I have prayed with you for years for normalcy and a regular, boring, life. Congratulations – you have been blessed!

    Kelly, thanks for the vote of confidence. Unfortunately, because the kids in the photos on the site are almost all minors, the entire thing is password protected, and isn’t available for anyone but parents and coaches to look at. I’m having a lot of fun with it, though! Kristie
