And so it begins ….

…. another year of my love/hate relationship with referees and coaches who step RIGHT in front of me, at the exact moment I am trying to get the shot.  Too bad there’s not a burning need for blurry photos of the back of striped ref shirts …. I would SO have that market cornered. (sigh)

Clearly I am getting grumpy in my old age

Or perhaps I have begun menopause without knowing it, and I am simply a raving hormonal lunatic.  But let me tell you what happened to me today, and you tell me if I’m being silly. I needed to make 300 copies of a flyer, and I wanted them to be on brightly colored paper.  So [...]

Track Meet, 2011

Clearly Kendrie and her best friend Katrina are at odds about whether you run faster wearing the hat on your head, or holding it in your hands.  Or, as Kendrie told me later, “I knew I would run so fast it would blow off and I didn’t want to have to walk back and get [...]

Monday morning

I just sent my husband an e-mail, and this is what it said: “I love you dearly, but I promise the next time you leave a kleenex in the wash, I will throw the entire load out in the back yard and you can pick through the eighteen billion teeny shredded pieces and pick them [...]

Clearly I’ve trained him well

Only a photographer/scrapbooker’s child would have the presence of mind to smile at his mother, taking photos, half -way through his leg of the two-mile relay.  Which they won, by the way.  Which was pretty much awesomeness, on a spoon, and so fun to watch.   They got second place at their first meet, and first [...]

Five years

Five years ago this week, Kendrie finished her 26 month chemotherapy regimen for leukemia.  This holiday season, that milestone is one of the things we are most grateful for.  Here are a few pics from that week, celebrating the event.  I am amazed at how tiny she seems ……  All the cousins from OK came [...]

First Day Photo

As suspected, our first day of school traditional photos were a complete bust.  Kellen had to leave the house at 6:45 am, and it wasn’t even light enough yet to take his photos.  Since Blaine drove him to the football stadium for before-school-practice (which today, apparently involved getting the team photo taken and then sitting [...]

A sad moment, indeed

Our pantry is one spot in our house with no air vent and I am very sad to report that apparently it was so hot yesterday that my Keebler Fudge Stripe cookies melted and stuck together.  (not that it will stop me from eating them, but still ….) PS.  and yes, those of you who [...]

So very flattering

Not all iphone apps are flattering, lets just leave it at that, shall we?
