I check Facebook every day, but I usually only sit down to read blogs when I have some time to devote. Which isn’t all that often these days. And then by the time I read, I’m catching up on blog entries that are a week or two old and then I don’t feel like my comments are probably even going to get read… but I’m here!! I read!! :)

While I don’t comment regularly (or probably enough!) I myself prefer this as to Facebook. Facebook is not as personal and you have to go through SO MUCH EXCESS to get to the new stuff. I make it a point to check my kids’ pages regularly (we had an issue on my son’s page) and it take forever to get through. Hope you continue to blog…it’s a highlight of my days!

I use both a blog and Facebook. I’m not really sure that anyone ever sees my blog – it’s more for me and for my daughter someday, not that I don’t want readers, I just don’t seem to have them!

I Facebook mostly with my family and friends from growing up. I agree that I don’t “friend” people I don’t know personally, and even then sometimes I ignore a friend request. I’ve got my FB settings super secure so I’m not even sure if someone can find me if they wanted to!

Please keep up your blog – I don’t get here every day and rarely post, but I always read back to the last post I remember reading.

Wow! Look at all these comments! You really pulled us out of the woodwork. I like both facebook and blogging for different reasons, but my favorite is blogging. I bet the people who like facebook more are not even reading this post in order to vote their way.

I am not a Twitterer by ANY stretch of the imagination. However I am a self-admitted Facebook junkie. I use FB to keep up on my friends and acquaintances but there’s one point – for me, FB is only for friends and acquaintances and just as I wouldn’t want strangers as friends, I feel I shouldn’t be friends with strangers, either. So it’s not as if I would ever ask to be your FB friends unless we actually, oh I dunno, knew each other or had something in common other than me reading your blog, LOL!

I enjoy FB for what it is – quick updates. I also enjoy blogs for what they are – short stories, if you will. I think both do and will have a place in cybersociety.

Dear Kristie,

Thanks much for your commitment to blogging. It is really precious to keep in touch with your family this way, to celebrate Kendrie’s continued good health and to keep rooting for Blaine’s health as well as smiling at the epics of daily life.

Facebook can never replace this. See, for exemple, I am not on Facebook… How could I follow you in this way?

Also I enjoy a good read and writing style matters to me. Yoru author’s talents, I believe, can shine more brightly on a blog.

A friend sent me this link because she knows I struggle with the same – the spreading out in social networks, frustration associated – and not that I am going to stop blogging – but the resulting confusion. I look at it as relationship building no matter where it happens. ;)

Have never Twittered, will never Twitter and wouldn’t know how if my life depended on it. Blogging is my choice of communication. I have a FB account but I pour my heart and soul into my blog and I will keep on blogging.
