To you and yours ….
… a Merry Christmas to you, too.
You know what I love most about this photo? Besides the three kids in it, I mean? The white snow spray in the corner of the window. Because that’s not some cheesy snow-in-a-can, or shoe polish, or anything like that. Oh, no, that’s the real deal. We actually had a white Christmas here in Oklahoma City, which is none too common in this part of the country, for this time of year.
It was beautiful; it was glorious; it was breathtaking.
It was actually quite a pain in the rear because the kids left our only shovel in the backyard and it got buried in the snow then we couldn’t back my mom’s car out of the driveway because of the snowdrift that blew up against the garage door and wound up dumping kitty litter, rock salt, and dog food in the driveway just trying to get out of the damn driveway …..
yeah, not so magical anymore.
(Just kidding …. still pretty magical.)

I heard that OKC got 14 inches? That’s more snow than we got during “Snowmageddon” in Mpls! Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and keep Christmasing all weekend like we’re going to do!

Sheila, I don’t know about 14 inches …. definitely not that much here at my house. However, the wind blows like crazy around here, so we had drifts that were at least three feet high. Hence, the Driveway Disaster of ’09. :)

Sarah, we adopted a black lab from the local humane shelter in March …. Brew …. so technically he was “new” enough this year to warrant mention in the Christmas letter, since we didn’t have him last Christmas.

I was wondering if you got hit with the massive storm! We ended up with a mix of snow/sleet/freezing rain/rain – depending on the time of day and God’s perverse sense of humor!

Hey, we got the same PJs, lol. I mean the kids… I hope you had a lovely holiday. I am currently enjoying the after Christmas lull. Happy kids. Left over food. Nothing to do (ha!). I wish you all a relatively uneventful 2010!
