Very, very busy

11 April 2010 | Misc

I have been.  Which is why I haven’t updated in a while.  Doing what, I’m not sure.  But I have no doubt it was both fascinating and important.

Actually, I know exactly what I’ve been doing.  Taking pictures.  Over eleven hundred pictures, to be precise.  And walking around for seven hours at baseball games and a 5K to do so.  And somehow managing to pull a muscle in my right butt cheek with all the walking, which is further proof to my claim that EXERCISE IS BAD FOR YOU.

Eleven hundred pictures is a lot of damn pictures.  In the olden days of film photography, that would be the equivalent of almost 46 rolls of film.  Could you even imagine paying for the processing on 46 rolls of film?   God bless digital cameras, is all I can say.

Then I spent a lot of time editing those photos.  And I went scrapbooking this weekend, with a group of total strangers, who were actually quite nice to me and I had a lovely time and best of all I even got caught up on some projects so SCORE is what I say.

And let us not forget my cold.  That I’ve had for nine days now.  Nine days of stuffiness and runniness and tiredness and coughing so hard that I …….. well, never mind.  There’s no need to go into detail.  But suffice it to say, the cold is still winning.  It is not the flu, it is not pneumonia, it is not bronchitis or laryngitis or pharyngitis or any kind of -itis.  It is a simple spring cold.  And it is kicking my ass.

I can’t believe you got all of that done while not feeling well. SCORE is what I say as well. BTW, maybe you don’t have a cold but have allergies instead. Mine are kicking me silly right now. It would definitely explain the stuffy / runny / tired thing. Not sure about the cough….

It’s amazing how much of a time-sucking black hole a camera and Photoshop can be, isn’t it? And be careful with that butt cheek pull. A 40-year old lady who was a dear friend of a friend did that; apparently the muscle tore and infection set in. She DIED… from exercise. For realz. So if your butt starts really hurting, and the pain ISN’T from one of your kids, head to the hospital asap. Now that I’ve made your day, I’ll leave….

I always knew exercise was bad for a body! Just about everyone I know has been fighting the spring cold/allergies problem. Hope you feel better soon.
