What would Barley/Brew Chew?
Oh, I don’t know.
How about HALF of the four dozen home-made yeast rolls I made this evening for Christmas lunch at my mom’s tomorrow, and had cooling on the counter? So can you guess what I’ll be baking tomorrow morning, after our gift-opening frenzy? Or maybe I should just take a loaf of Wonder bread for Christmas lunch … that’s really special.
I know two dogs who are getting coal in their damn stockings tonight.

My sister-in-law’s dog ate the cookies for Santa. I think he made the baby Jesus weep with sadness.
Hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas!

And then there was the time that Cinnamon – the sweetest Doberman in the world – ate half of the Christmas ham!
Merry Christmas to all!

One dog ate about 6 or 7 deviled eggs at our house, another about 2 lbs of cheese. Both were on a high counter top and seemingly out of reach…

On my daughter’s 8th birthday, I purchased one of those expensive 75.00 Barbie doll birthday cakes. It was beautiful! We went outside to greet our guests and when we came back in the kitchen, Buffy, our cocker had eaten the entire backside of the cake. Of course, chelsea fell to the floor in hysterics. This was after my poor father having to navigate very icy roads in Atlanta to get the darned thing. Any way we took two pictures, one with the front of the cake with chelsea trying her best smile and the back with her ugly horrible face. I cant help but giggle when I see these pictures.

The night before Christmas Eve I made five, 6 inch Chocolate Gingerbread sleighs for 5 awesome little kids in my life. Made Royal Icing to put them together. Practiced my best penmanship to write each childs name, in cursive! Decorated….left them on the counter to dry over night only to find that after mixing and rolling and chilling and decorating, only “Josh’s” sleigh remaining and one very bloated Golden laying on his side in the middle of the dining room….
The dozen or so par-baked cinnamon rolls that were gone too could have been what sent him over the “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing” edge…. Good think he has those big brown eyes…. :o)
